1. Make sure the switch on the MedicTag is to the LEFT when holding
the MedicTag with the attaching hole upright.
2. Plug the MedicTag into a USB port. Your system should recognized that you have plugged in the MedicTag and display a new icon in the task area at the lower right of your screen.
3. Double click on "My Computer" to show a list of your drives.
(If you do not have a "My Computer" icon on your desktop, click on "Start" then click "My computer")
4. Double click on the "red cross" icon to access the MedicTag files.
5. Double click the AutoRun.exe icon to start the program.
6. From the menu click on "View Emergency Information".
7. Fill in your information as needed.
8. To save the information to your MedicTag click on "File" at the top left of the form and then click on "Save" in the drop down menu.
9. To save a copy to your computer (Recommended) click on "File" and then "Save As", in the dialog box that appears, navigate to your desktop and then click on "Save".
10. At the top, right corner of the form, click on the "X" to close the form.
11. In the menu click on "Exit".
Removing the MedicTag from your computer depends on your operating system and hardware.
On most system that are "Plug and Play" you can simply unplug the MedicTag.
On others you must must turn off the device by clicking on the device icon in the task area at the lower right of your screen and follow the instructions.
